Our Team

Meet Our Doctor

Dr. Richard Wilson (pictured left) is a bariatric and general surgeon and affiliated with Surgical Associates of Northwest Florida in Panama City, FL. He has performed more than 300 bariatric weight loss surgery procedures. In addition to bariatric and general surgery, his specialties also include colon and rectal surgery.

He graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia in 1993 and joined the medical staff of Gulf Coast Medical Center the same year.

Meet Our Bariatric Navigator

Hang Mai, RN is the Gulf Coast Medical Center Bariatric Navigator. In this role, Hang assists our weight loss surgery patients with pre-operative questions as well as assisting during the post-operative process. She is an excellent resource to help guide patients through the process of weight loss surgery and for encouraging them along the way.
