2009 Department Recognition

1st Quarter - Cath Lab

Cath Lab was nominated and selected as our Department of 1st Quarter based on a patient letters describing the excellent care they were provided.

  • They are excellent at what they do and they kept me smiling throughout three days of procedures.
  • For the past 12 years we have wintered in Panama City. Your facility is the only place we chose thanks to your wonderful staff in the Cath Lab.

2nd Quarter - 2S Orthopedics

2S Orthopedics was nominated and selected as our Department of the 2nd Quarter based on a patient letters describing the excellent care they were provided.

3rd Quarter - Emergency Department

Throughout the quarter we have received many ICARE cards that speak to the compassion of the employees of Gulf Coast Medical Center’s Emergency Department. Members of this team try to ensure that each patient has a way to get home after they have been treated.

Patient Comments

  • In addition, we received an ICARE card from the mother of a young patient who though their emergency department experience from beginning to end was “amazing.”  She said everyone seemed to love their jobs.  While she didn’t know the nurse, she indicated the nurse was at the end of her day but acted like this young patient was her first patient of the day.

4th Quarter - ICU

Throughout the quarter we have received many ICARE cards from patients that have been very thankful for the care they received from the employees of Gulf Coast Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit.

  • A grateful family member wanted to thank the staff of ICU.  The level of professionalism, caring and concern for the patient impressed this family member.
